Sweating is a sign of a normal, healthy system that is functioning properly. Our philosophy is to work with the body’s natural flow, collaborating with it to limit excess moisture and control the aromas created by the excretion of sweat. It is this odor control that interests us most. With our ‘Spice’ deodorant, our aim is to limit body odor by attacking the bacteria that cause it, flooding them with hypnotic, fragrant notes to create an intoxicating blend of exotic moolah.

Our fragrance is a custom and intense combination of Frankincense, Bay Leaf and Clove, which collide to calm sweat and neutralize odor. The ingredients in Spice deodorant are natural and organic. Its fragrance is exotic yet light, evoking the feeling of a wild night under the moon, that we once had when no one was watching. New Zealand Manuka, Aloe Vera and Kawakawa combine with organic Lavender and the natural benefits of Baking Soda to soothe sweat and neutralise body odour. So you can go ahead and dance.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Manuka Oil - Probably the most widely used native plant in New Zealand. From toners and teas to lip balms and honey, Manuka is infused with benefits and sold on our shelves. In our deodorant, we use it for its soothing and neutralising properties, helping to control odour.

Kawakawa Extract - In Te Reo Māori (the indigenous language of New Zealand), 'Kawakawa' refers to the bitter taste of the leaves, with the word 'kawa' meaning 'bitter'. Also known as the “NZ Pepper Tree”, Kawakawa was one of the most important plants in Rongoā (traditional Māori medicine), used externally for cuts, wounds and bruises, and applied as a treatment for toothaches, stings and eczema due to its natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Aloe Vera - Most of us are well acquainted with the benefits and properties of this amazing plant. Ask anyone with a sunburn what they are looking for and the answer will be Aloe Vera. We use Aloe Vera for its complete antibacterial and fungal activity inhibiting properties. The soothing and cooling effect of Aloe Vera contributes to the overall feel of our deodorant.

Sodium Bicarbonate - Sodium Bicarbonate is alkaline, meaning it neutralizes the acids that bacteria love in sweat and acts as a natural underarm odor balancing agent. Our formula was developed to have a low pH, being gentle on the skin, but strong enough to mask the effects of bacteria and the odor they create.

Lavender Extract - We use a custom infusion of organic lavender as a vehicle to bring all the other flavor ingredients together. Lavender is like a friendly train conductor who does all the hard work to make sure the team gets to their destination on time and ready for action.
