Together they have produced this magnificent luxury shaving soap, with fig, olive and bay rum, successfully contributing to the ultimate shaving experience.

The inspiration for this gloriously and luxuriously scented shaving soap comes from the Scapicchio family’s abundant fig and olive groves, which are found in Puglia.

The Scapicchio name is synonymous with one of the most renowned and respected barber families in the world. Signor Marco Scapicchio first opened his barbershop in 1820, and for the next five generations, the craftsmanship associated with this noble profession has been passed down from father to son. Scapicchio are masters of the art of vintage Italian and specialists in the Kamisori fixed blade razor. These renowned techniques are still taught at their famous Academy.

The invigorating scent of the soap pays homage to Luigi’s great-grandfather, who emigrated to Chicago in 1910 and opened his first Italian barbershop. Vincenzo rose to become one of Al Capone’s trusted personal barbers.

Legend has it that in 1905 Captain Peabody Fawcett RN Ret’d disappeared while sailing to Ubangi, a major tributary of the Congo River.

No trace of his expedition was found until 1997, when an old trunk was purchased from an old house.

Among the moldy belongings was an exquisite dressing containing salves, ointments and adventure journals.

Among the many stories in the journal were detailed recipes for the exotic ingredients the captain used in his personal care.

Those formulas have been reproduced exactly, and today, along with the famous mustache wax and original Fawcett potions, they are among the top favorites of men around the world.
